Itinerary
A picturesque and lively district called “Sanità”, just outside the Historic District, dominated by the beautiful basilica dedicated to San Vincenzo Ferrer, that houses a miraculous painting of the Virgin Mary. In the Hellenistic and Roman times this location was a burial site. In the 16th century it was established as a home for the Neapolitan aristocracy, still visible today by the beautiful Palazzo Sanfelice and Palazzo dello Spagnolo, located on the street of the famous market of the “Vergini”, which still constantly bustles with locals. In the district, that gave birth to the famous actor, poet, singer and writer Totò, is also possible to visit the “blue church” of the Cristallini, recently reopened, and the Jago museum.
